When you give your animals feed that has been manufactured by Agway Feed & Nutrition you can feel confident that Agway’s manufacturing plants adhere to a set of standards. All of our feed plants in the northeast are HACCP certified. HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point which means that each of our plants have undergone a rigorous amount of audits, training, and procedures to ensure that protocols are met and safety standards are adhered to. Such protocols include testing ingredients before they are loaded off a rail car or truck and into our plants. Tracking what loads were previously hauled in those vehicles, recording lot numbers of ingredients received in and products shipped out.  It’s all about ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to and routines are consistent.
